Hello everyone, Travis here and Nicole and I hope that everybody has been enjoying some wonderful books in their lives!
Frankly, I'm typing this, trying to come up with something to talk about and all I can think of is getting back to reading my book! I've been reading Lamb by Christopher Moore lately and it is fantastic. Highly recommended! I have an almost complete collection of Christopher Moore books on my personal book shelves. I love my book shelves so much. Sometimes, I'll come home and just look at all my books! Anybody else just sit and stare at their books? Along with Moore, my Vonnegut books adorn the same shelf while below them lie the Tolkien and Lewis books. Above is A LOT of Agatha Christie. Moving over is a collection I've been building over the last year or so, books from the master of horror Stephen King. Along with my Elmore Leonard's and small Western section, I love my shelves!
Nicole's bookshelves are an amazing exploration of different genres and styles as well. Her prized Tolkien books are opened frequently, and she's been on a real Naomi Novak kick recently too! Her William Horwood books and especially the Duncton saga are beloved in the Herring house..
A book collection is a very personal thing. It's part of who we are and evolves along with us. It changes with our moods, thoughts, beliefs, and ideas. They give a window into who we are.
We would be thrilled to hear about everybody's book shelves and personal collections of books. Let us know in the comments what you shelf means to you.
